NEW PATIENT

First and foremost, we would like to warmly welcome all new patients to the practice.

Here at Centre Dentaire Amical, we aim to make a new patient's first visit just the beginning of a long and happy association.

Each new patient receives the following:
  • A guided tour of the practice and an explanation of the services we provide.
  • A full consultation and examination including a complete set of x-rays
  • Taking of a full medical history.
  • Examination of each tooth for dental caries.
  • Examination of bite e.g.contact between upper and lower teeth.
  • Full mouth oral cancer examination.
  • Full examination of gum health.
  • Intra-oral camera demonstration.
  • Full discussion of treatment options and fees in surgery.
  • Further opportunity to discuss treatment options and fees with a member of the reception team who can offer helpful advice on finance options and insurance benefits.
NERVOUS PATIENTS

Is this your view of the dentist?

If you are anxious about dental treatment then you are not alone. Between 6% and 14% of the population avoid attending the dentist because of anxiety and 45%-55% of patients are anxious in the dental environment.

The reasons people fear attending the dentist are many and varied and we believe that the first step to providing sympathetic care is to recognize that the fear is real and acute.

At Centre Dentaire Amical, our considerate and caring staff are trained to try to understand the problem. We believe that communication is key and encourage anyone who is feeling anxious for any reason (embarrassment, pain, fear, cost etc.) to tell any one of our staff at the outset.
